David Breen
One of David’s earliest car memories is riding in his mom’s car at night during his elementary school years and letting her know what kind of car was approaching by the shape of the headlights (this would be more challenging today with so many cars looking alike!). Fascinated by the shape and design of cars at an early age, he dreamed of being a car designer but didn’t create a pathway to get there, instead working in the semiconductor and education management industries, with stints as an entrepreneur along the way, he now feels fortunate to combine his passions for photography and automobiles with the creation of phoCARgraphy LLC.
David starts thinking about a photo shoot days before it happens. “I think about the car, what it means to the owner, and so much more than lighting and lenses, which are critical tools to capture the essence of the photograph, but it’s the feeling of the car, if you will, that we’re trying to capture and that’s what I think about in advance.”
David is our lead phoCARgrapher in Boulder and Denver.
Aidan Breen
Aidan clearly inherited his father’s passion for cars, clinging to his favorite matchbox cars as a child and, as a family friend noted, “he seems to love anything with wheels” – so true! He started studying photography at age 16, when he first learned to drive and work on cars, and the two skill sets have evolved together. As a photographer, Aidan highlights the unique lines of a car and has an eye for positioning cars in settings.
A 2022 graduate of the University of Colorado, Aidan is our lead phoCARgrapher in Nashville while also performing digital editing and quality assurance reviews for all photo sessions.
Owen Breen
Owen is a student at Colorado State University studying business and sociology with a graduation date in May, 2025. Owen supports phoCARgraphy’s business office with website development, site selection, and operational support of phoCARgraphy sessions. The consummate team player, Owen does whatever phoCARgraphy needs to make it tick.
